About electricity billing in Mizoram
Headquartered at Aizawl, Mizoram electricity tariffs are set by the State Electricity Regulatory Commission through annual tariff orders that specify slab rates, fixed charges, and cost-pass-through mechanisms. Domestic consumers are generally billed on a telescopic basis: only the units within each slab are charged at that slab's rate, so climbing a slab doesn't push your cheaper units to a higher rate.
