Your consumption

Tell us your average bill — we'll size your solar system.

System sizing

Estimated consumption: 533 units / month

Recommended system: 4.5 kW (covers ~100% of consumption)

How does it work?

  1. You enter your average monthly bill — we work back to your consumption (units).
  2. We recommend a system size (kW) that offsets your consumption, capped at 10 kW.
  3. We apply the 2026 PM Surya Ghar CFA scale: ₹30K for 1 kW, ₹60K for 2 kW, ₹78K for ≥3 kW.
  4. Yearly generation assumed at 4 kWh/kW/day — realistic India average across seasons.
  5. Savings = yearly generation × your ₹/unit; payback = net cost ÷ yearly savings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common electricity bill questions in India.

What is PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana?
PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana is a Central Government scheme launched to promote rooftop solar for 1 crore Indian households. It offers a Central Financial Assistance (CFA) subsidy of up to ₹78,000 for a 3 kW rooftop system, plus state-level top-ups in some states.
How much subsidy will I get?
The CFA is ₹30,000 for the first kW, ₹60,000 total for 2 kW, and ₹78,000 total for 3 kW (which is the residential cap). Above 3 kW the subsidy stays flat at ₹78,000.
How many years does rooftop solar take to pay back?
With the PM Surya Ghar subsidy, most Indian households recover the net cost in 3–6 years. Panels are warranted for 25 years with minimal maintenance, so everything after payback is effectively free electricity.
How do I apply for the subsidy?
